Smartsheet ODBC, Tableau, and DataTable

Hello,

We are trying to connect Smartsheet data in a Smartsheet DataTable to Tableau. We have too much data for a single Smartsheet sheet to hold all the data. Is there a way to pull data from a Smartsheet DataTable into Tableau? So far the methods considered are:

1. Smartsheet ODBC connector
   1. Not seeing the DataTable as source option
2. SQL from Smartsheet to Tableau
   1. Not possible based on this discussion on Feb 16, 2023
   2. https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/101319/pulling-the-data-from-smartsheet-using-sql
3. Put data into sheets using DataTable Connector and then pull the data into Tableau
   1. This would work but is not ideal because we would have to maintain additional source sheets. We are using DataTable so we only have one source.

@Genevieve P. , am I correct in thinking the only way to get access to data in a DataTable is via the DataTable Connection? There is no API access or other access to DataTables, correct?

You're correct in your findings in the bullet points above - there currently is no way to connect a DataTable directly with Tableau. Please add your vote and voice to this related Product Idea: Connect Data Table to multiple sheets, Bridge, or Salesforce

Option 3 is what I would suggest at this time.
