Auto Refresh

I have a Sheet which has calculations in it.

A Report feeds from this Sheet.

A Dashboard feeds from the Report.

In order to have an updated Dashboard my Report needs to be updated and therefore my Sheet needs to be updated and the calculations.

I assume I need to have Auto Refresh setup on the Sheet, is this correct?

That is correct. The sheet needs to be "activated" and saved in some way in order for your rollup to represent the most up-to-date information.
