Send a document in a workflow

Hello,

I'd like to be able to attach a checklist in a workflow. The document is an internal document that is already created. We do not need anything on the document completed, just a simple acknowledgement that they received the document. I've attempted a live link and generate document. Neither with success. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Do you want to include a link to the document in an Alert or similar?

What's not working more specifically?
