Exporting Contacts / Editing them / re-Importing
Can this be done as a method to mass-edit Contacts that weren't set up properly from the beginning. We are efforting to make the syntax the same for all contacts and need an easy way to do this.
I asked the second part of the question by itself in another post, but if this IS possible, once you import the changes into My Contacts, will this correct all instances of the contact's exisitance on all sheets? If not, what advice does Smartsheet have?
My fear is the answer is to delete the incorrect contact and create a new and MANUALLY fix it everywhere. Please help!
thanks,
Dave

Adjusting names in your "My Contacts" list is personal to your specific account and does not update the actual name of that user for other collaborators.
This will need to be done from their Personal Profile or from the Admin Center if the users are on your plan, where you're changing the details of their account (versus your individual contact list).
There may be a way to bulk update names by leveraging the Smartsheet API as a System Admin, but I have to admit I haven't tested or tried this before.
Cheers,
Genevieve
