Desktop Level Functionality for iPads

Hi,

I think at this point in Smartsheet's maturity we should have the same level of functionality/access we have on smartsheet.com or smartsheet desktop app when using an iPad instead of being forced onto the mobile app. As someone who likes to use their iPad when on the go, it is increasingly frustrating that I am forced to use the mobile app from my iPad and can't even request the desktop site from a browser. This limits my development capability and I cannot access control center, user manager, or any other admin features. The mobile app is seriously limiting and given that iPads have reached the same level of functionality as an actual laptop/PC, containing the same chips used as Apple laptops/PCs, I'm not sure why an iPad is still forced onto the mobile app.

Please fix this! I've tried every workaround and it's been years of folks asking for this feature!

  • As someone that does not need a full range laptop or desktop computer to run their business I fully support this. Any updates coming anytime soon?

  • I’d just like to say I fully support this suggestion. I’ve been frustrated by this for years now. I used to be able to login manually to use SmartSheet in the browser. It still had certain limits, but was able to access some functionality that the mobile app could not. Now that is no longer possible, (unless maybe I disable the app completely?)

  • Iv just recently implemented smartsheets into my business and also need a desktop version!

This has been driving me nuts for a long time now. I’ve brought it up at Engage and get the impression that Smartsheet thinks the app works just fine in iOS. I can’t get it to work in Chrome and can only get a semi-working desktop version on my iPad using Safari. The scroll bars aren’t visible and the top has the message to open the sheet in the app with no option to X it off. I don’t need a laptop for any application except Smartsheet - the other applications I use can be used in a browser on any device. This is frustrating.
