conditional formatting for nested rows
I have nested rows and linked activities. I dont know how to set up CF properly to colour task bars of the parent rows? In this example, you can see there two conditions which I've coloured yellow and orange (defining condition that task name contains specific text ) but they are the child rows. It doesn't work for the two parent rows whose task bars continue to be grey despite me defining condition Task containing My10_1 should have blue font (which it does) and blue task bar which doesn't happen. How do I make those task bars turn another colour?

Hey @dizzy_brain
You will need a helper column to designate the hierarchy level of your row. If your entire sheet does not follow the structure shown in the screenshot, the helper column formula might need tweaking.
In the screenshot above, row 6 is at Level = 0, and rows 7,11,15 and 19 are Level=1. You can easily apply a conditional format using level as the criteria. To determine the level, use this formula in the a helper column.
=COUNT(ANCESTORS())
Will this work for you?

I tried this but still I cannot get the task bar of the parent to change colour. I made the helper column and set condition that 0 should have task bar orange (see below) but it remains grey. Would love if someone can tell me how to do this? Thanks

Hi,
I hope you're well and safe!
Unfortunately, it's not possible now to change the color of that bar, but it's an excellent idea!
Please submit this as a Product Feedback or Idea (If it hasn't been added already) when you have a moment.
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic weekend!

Oh thats a real shame. Please clarify, does this mean that it is not possible to change the colour of any "parent" task bar i.e. if it has "children", task bar colour cannot be changed?
