Re-open Partially Completed Form
Hi all,
We have a sheet that collects information about our accounts. Our contracts team enters some of the data via a form when they hand it off to our accountants. However, they don't always have all the information at the same time, and some would prefer to enter it piecemeal rather than needing to dig it all back out at the very end of the process. Is there a way to fill out the form once, and then at a later date a) display the already-entered data and b) update the remaining fields to "update" the existing row (rather than create a duplicate row)? I explored some query string articles but I didn't see anything that exactly matched this. Would it be easier to set up an automation on my sheet to send an update request for partially-completed rows that our contracts staff could keep until they were ready to update?
Thanks!
Jenny

I would suggest the update request route.

I hope you're well and safe!
In addition to Paul's excellent advice/answer, which would also be my first choice,
- Another option could be one of the premium apps, Dynamic View, or WorkApps.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

As long as you are capturing who is submitting the entry (which you could do automatically if you require a Smartsheet login), an automation could run where anytime the row is added or changed but hasn't met completion criteria, it sends an update request to that person to come back to later, and it just keeps doing that with every change until you have everything.
Dynamic View is another good option because your people won't have to go back to their emails to make updates.
