Timeline for multiple items

Hi!

I'm looking to track a process for individual items (same process but different starting dates). The item goes through a process and has wait times after each step. I'm trying to use each line item as the item itself and then add the dates for each step with wait time.

For example:

Item 1

Step 1: 11/29/23-12/30/23

Step 2:12/30/23- 1/10/24

Step 3: 1/10/24-2:12/24

I know that I could list each step individually, but I have 240 items with 6 steps each. Is there an easy way to do this in Shartsheets?

Do you want to use Smartsheet 'Timeline' view or is that just how you are describing it?

What I want to do is map the time for each of these steps and the lead time in between. I started doing it in excel (see below) where each item is one line and the steps are on the same line, so A-F would have a different color. I'm just not sure if this is something that Smartsheets can do.
