How do I pull in a pay rate from another sheet when the identifier is on the sheet multiple times

Trying to Index/Match - Help!

I need to pull the 'Total Base Pay - Amount' from another sheet into my current sheet by using employee ID as the match identifier, however there are 3 of the same employee ID on my current sheet.
I am guessing since there are 3 of the same employee id's on my first sheet, it's confusing things. Not sure what to do! Help?

As long as you have the employee only once on the seconfd sheet you should not have an issue?

Have you looked at the VLOOKUP function?

=VLOOKUP([Emp ID]@row,XXX,NNN,false)

You would need to use a range from the second sheet in place of XXX and put the row number you wish to return in place of NNN.

=INDEX({ColumnWithTheValueYouWantToShow}, MATCH(CellThatHaveTheValueToMatch@row,{ColumnWithTheValueToMatchAgainsTheCell}, 0)
