Not sure / workflows, sheet references, forms

I have a SS that tracks bids we receive. Each request is assigned an ID#. Once my team completes our work on the bid, the plan is to send the original requestor a survey. We'd like the survey to include the ID# - and I'm not sure how to make that populate on the survey.

We are using a "status" field so I believe that can trigger a workflow. What I don't know is how to incorporate the ID# on the form. And once the form is completed, I would rather have the information populate into it's own SS - is that possible? Maybe using a sheet reference? Hope you can understand the ask here - I'm happy to provide more details.

You could use an Automated Alert Workflow and include a link to the form pre-filled by using the URL-Query feature.
