Report of not planned resources

Hi i manage a lot of resource by smartsheet and resource management in many different projects (sheets).

Every end of the month i need to report the performed activities for any employee, but the problem is that not all the emplyees plan their own activities.

Is there a way to extract (by smartsheet or resource management) only the working days not planned for the single emploeey?

I find sheduling page on resource management not so useful for the aim.

Hi Simone - if you run a Time and Fees report in Resource Management, grouping by Date String, Week, or Month (depending on how granular you want to be) and then by Team Member, you'll get a list of all team members assigned by date and how many hours.

Of course, this only shows people who are assigned, not people who are not assigned. RM doesn't keep a list of unassigned team members.

However, you can back into this by running the report and exporting it. Then, bring it into Smartsheet. On another sheet you'll need a list of all your team members which you could export from RM.

Then, in the sheet listing all resources, use a cross-sheet reference formula to search for that team member's name in the allocation report for the day/week/month and flag if they are not listed. That will tell you who is not allocated.

Actually, strike that. I forgot about the Utilization report. Instead of doing Hours report do Utilization. Group by date and team member. That gives you everyone and shows 0 for unallocated resources

Also FYI Smartsheet literally just announced RM reporting feed into Smartsheet! Called "Advanced Reports"
