Charts - reporting on two 'Counts'

Hi,

My company is logging Fire Risk Assessment actions, and we want to see a chart that shows:
Actions by priority and then within that:

Actions by 'complete'.

So, for example, we want to see that there are 46 Minor actions, 19 of which are 'complete' (a checkbox), 144 Moderate actions, 130 of which are 'complete', etc.

At the moment I can only find a way to EITHER chart the amount of each category of action (Moderate, minor, immediate), OR the amount that have been completed (149 out of 190 total actions), but we need more detail.

Can this be charted on a dashboard?

It can definitely be charted as a stacked bar/column but you need to set the data up correctly to do that. You cannot use a grouped report for a stacked bar, grouped reports with summaries will only chart the first level. So, setup a sheet that has the the Priorities as columns and the Action types as rows (or vice-versa). Then you'll need formulas to count up the metrics that match to each combination.

When you have a grid of data on the sheet, then you can point to that with your chart and choose stacked bar/column as the type.
