Why is automated dropdown update limited to external sources?

Why can dropdown values be updated from external sources (csv., xlsx, google sheet) using data shuttle but not from internal smartsheet sources in data mesh?

This would be a tremendous possibility to work in a smartsheet environment!!!!

You can update the dropdown lists from internal Smartsheet sheets.

@Stowi You're both a bit right - you can update via internal sheets (if you create an offload from that sheet first). You can read a bit more about this process here: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2482755-dynamic-dropdowns-data-shuttle

If you'd like to suggest a different form of dynamic dropdowns within Smartsheet (which I know is highly requested), I'd recommend voting for it in the "Product Ideas"!
