dashboard stats question
I am trying to figure out a way to setup a dashboard where I can show total costs (sum) to be shown up based on budget code column there are 10 separate entries in budget code column does anyone have idea on how this can be accomplished; I am beginner and trying to learn more about it.

You could create a row report then group it by Budget Code. From there you can use the Summary feature in the repot to get the sum total of each Budget Code and use this grouped report to populate a chart or graph on your dashboard.

Thanks for your help, unfortunately it doesn't shows total it just shows the count in the report
Basically I like to get a $ total by Budget Code on another sheet I tried so many different version of SUMIF and SUMIFS but doesn't seem to work out at all.

Assuming your screenshot is of the report, you still need to group by budget code and then use the summarize feature in the report.
