Sending Dashboard link to iPad users takes to home page but doesn't pull up dashboard in search

Hello community. When I send a dashboard link to my iPad users, it takes them to log in, they log in on the web (Assuming this is Safari) and then takes them to this view. In my view I see the Dashboard. When they try, there is no dashboard, the one thing they need doesn't appear. Even when I give it a unique name that's no where else in the workspace, it never pulls up. HELP! How can I direct them to view the dashboard?

Publish the Dashboard, then copy the link and send it to them.

I would love to do that, but there is performance data on the dashboards so publishing is not doable.
