Adding Viewers

hello!

I am wondering how to add viewers to sheets and dashboards without giving them a license since our plan only allows for one licensed user.

Hi Ashley,

A non-licensed user is called a Free User. Free users have the ability to view and/or edit the items they have been shared to, but they do not have the ability to create their own items without a license.

You can decide what permission level these free users have, with viewer being one of your options. The link below will help you see what features the different permission levels allow:

To share a sheet, look for the green "Share" button in the upper right hand corner or go to File > Share. You can enter a desired email address for sharing and choose the permission level you wish the recipient to have. The process for sharing a dashboard for editing would be the same.

To share a dashboard for viewing only, go to File > Publish > (Switch to 'ON') > Get Link. Then you can choose your access levels for the dashboard and either copy the publish link to your clipboard for sharing or embed it into your portal or website.
