Automation for Attachments

Hi,

I have created an automation for sharing information in a specific row to the user when a checkbox is selected. This automation includes sending the attachment in the row via the automation to the user's email.

The problem I am facing is that the attachment that is sent via email and they are able to download it from the email. Is it possible to have the attachment as a view only online?

    Hi @mg3245

    To ensure that attachments are view-only and cannot be downloaded, do not use direct uploads from a computer for email automation. Instead, follow these steps:

    1. Google Drive: Upload the file to Google Drive first. Set sharing permissions to "Viewer" and disable "Download, Print, and Copy" options in the "Share" settings.
    2. OneDrive: Upload the file to OneDrive, then share it with "View only" permissions and enable "Block Download."
    3. Box: Upload the file to Box, set it to "Viewer" access, and enable "Disable Download."
    4. Dropbox: Upload the file to Dropbox, create a shared link, and set it to "View only" by turning off "Allow Download" in the link settings.

    Once uploaded to the cloud storage, use the link to the file in your automation to ensure recipients can only view the file online without downloading it.
