Report grouping glitch?
Hi there,
I am confused about something. I have a report pulling data from multiple sheets.
I am then grouping the data by Sheet Name.
However, when I do that, the sheet names don't match. This isn't a huge problem, but it makes the associated graphs I create hard to read with the longer sheet name.
The original sheets have been renamed to the shorter name (Osgood 2) in this image, so they are easy to read in the graph.
I don't know where the longer sheet name is coming from since I have shortened all the names.
What did I miss? or what did I break?

It may be that there is some latent data on the back-end somewhere. I would say give it about 24 hours then try to create the report again. If it is still doing that, you may need to reach out to Support.

@EmilyE is the issue resolved ?

Hello,
No, not entirely. One group is resolved but the other 4 are still showing the old names.
-
Hi @EmilyE
I agree with Paul that this is an indexing delay, however I would also expect this to be resolved after 24-hours. At this point I would remove the Grouping, refresh the Report, then add the Grouping back in again.
If it's still showing the old names, yes, please reach out to Support with a screen recording, the sheet URLs, and the Report URL so they can help troubleshoot this with you.
Cheers,

I have also had some recent issues with report "back-end" data not refreshing in some instances. At one point I had changed a column name in the source sheet. I was able to update the report columns with no issue, but it took approximately 24 hours before the new column name was available in the Filters section of that same report. This happened in a few reports that were bringing in the column name, but it worked almost immediately in other reports.
Everything is resolved now though, so hopefully your issues are resolved as well.

Thanks @Paul Newcome
It hasn't resolved completely yet. I'm waiting to find the time to connect with support.
-
Hmm… Hopefully support will be able to get it squared away sooner rather than later. Have you tried recreating the report from scratch?
-
Not from scratch, no. I have it connected to a dashboard and didn't want to have to go through all that if I didn't need to. But that will be the next step after I present said dashboard this afternoon!
Thanks @Paul Newcome
