Automation Triggers - when do they trigger

Hello,

We have a task sheet where we have automations that change the values of certain columns based on the values in other columns. These are set to trigger "when rows are changed".

We have successfully tested all of them.

However, when we then simply use the sheet, make changes to those rows in the specified column, nothing happens. Is the automation not meant to automatically happen as soon as the row is changed?

It seems to not work until we go into the Automations and manually run them.

Help.

@MaxRyerson it sound like there is a mistake in the setup . Workflows should run automatically.

Do you have a picture from the workflow or are you able to share a copy of your sheet?

@NicoLHC thank you for your comment and offer to help. It seems to be working now, although it takes a few minutes to trigger. We thought it would be instant.

@MaxRyerson yes sometime it can take some minutes… in general we recommend to send just daily summary as we want to reduce the number of messages to users ….
