Calculate Start Date from Project End Date

I'm trying to perform what I believe should be a very easy task. I need to enter the end date of an activity and have the preceding activities populate their dates. I'm assuming this is possible if the durations and predecessors are populated, but when I enter the end date and hit enter, it resets to null.

Can I calculate dates from the end date? Is there another way to perform the calculations?

Hi @auream00

In your predecessor column, use the row number of the end date with the minus sign and number of days before the end date to back fill those dates. So where you have your first 4 above, type in 7-1 and it should auto adjust to 7FS-1d.

If you click on the edit pencil within the predecessor cell you can further customize how you want the predecessor to function. Maybe try that out and test what works the best for you. Reach back out if you have any questions.
