Tracking flight times (hours, minutes, AM/PM) in Smartsheet

We have a process that we are automating and the only thing remaining to figure out is managing time for flights. We have to manage flights for hundreds of individuals and need the travel planners to enter the flight time; hours, minutes, AM/PM or even going to a 24-hour clock and entering that (3:54 PM or 1554). Does anybody have a solution for being able to enter into a column or columns? I considered free text but some people might put a colon between hours and minutes (3:45), others might put a zero in front of a 24-hour time (0730) or in front of a time that doesn't have two digits (03:45) and I want to eliminate data inconsistency and standardize.

I also considered two or three column with drop-down with formatted flight times but you would have to have an option for ever hour (1, 2, 11, 12) and ever minute or period of minutes (e.g. 5, 10, 15, etc.) and another for AM/PM.

Any other creative ideas?

    Hi @Derek Clark

Sounds like a company consensus is needed, personally I'd run the same way as airlines do as working same methods can eliminate issues. As for the sheet suggest good column names and use the Info button.

    Hope this helps a little

    Cheers.
