Linking Multiple Sheets in a Report

My org has a number of sheets that we were hoping to link together in a report.

Two of the sheets have a primary column with the same item number (in our case, new product request number or NPR-XXXX) associated with it.

On the third sheet, it has a separate identifying number for a part number request, and in some cases a NPR number will be assigned to that request and row. A separate column lists that NPR number when applicable.

Is it possible to have report where you group each line item whenever the same NPR number is used across the sheets?

For example. NPR-0100 group would include a row from each sheet listed under that grouping when NPR-0100 exists for each.

Yes, add all of the sheets to the report, add the columns you would like to see and any desired filter, then use the group by option to group the report by NPR. Hope that helps!

You can absolutely add all of your sheets to one report and group them by the common denominator (the NPR Number)

You might run into some issues with Primary column of one sheet being different to the others as the primary column heading in the report will say "Primary" and then you will also have the NPR column from the other sheet.

You either need to make sure all of the Primary columns have the same use - i.e. NPR Number or add a column to your two other sheets called NPR Number and just to a column formula that references the Primary column. That way all 3 sheets will have a column called NPR number and you can use this column to group your report by.

    Hope this helps
