Dashboard - Question about formatting
In a dashboard that is updated via a sheet, is it possible to keep the formatting (text color) found in the sheet? I would like the dashboard to present the numbers with the colors of the sheet according to certain parameters (ex: the numbers under 75 are in red). Actually the numbers are all black in the dashboard.

Hi @Josiane
Dashboards don’t pull over text colors from sheets, unfortunately. A workaround is using symbol columns or traffic lights to show status based on your rules (like red for numbers under 75).

@ChristianFinke Thanks for your help. I don't know what are workaround ou traffic lights. Can you help?

@Josiane
No problem! Traffic lights are a type of symbol column in Smartsheet. They let you display colored indicators (like red, yellow, green) to reflect status. You can set these up using conditional formatting rules, like showing a red symbol if the value is below 75. -
If you are using a metrics widget to surface the data on your dashboard, you can also surface the underlying cell formatting. I use this frequently in a number of different ways.
If you select the data to adjust the formatting within the widget, using the paint roller will pull cell formatting through.
