Checkbox/Flag colour in Board View

Why is it that the colours of checkboxes and flags are different between Grid/Card Views and Board View? If there has been a UX change, shouldn't/couldn't they at least be consistent!

Here is the 'traditional' bright blue tick or bright red flag in Grid/Card View:

And now the pastel blue tick and (not-so-urgent looking) coral pink flag in Board View:

Why?

PS: the Star is still yellow in both! Just a little darker. But a bit bigger, easier to see in Board View:

Board view is there to eventually replace card view, and table view is eventually going to replace grid view. They have updated the software and made changes to a lot, including the way it displays.

If you are part of the Early Adopters Program, you should see that the color of your sheets, and design of your sheets/reports have changed as well. Sheets have changed from Blue to Purple (Once something is open on the side pane).

I am in the EAP and am aware of the UX look & feel changes and replacement views – just not at all a fan of the new colouring, as I have posted in the EAP chat before. Hope they move back to the previous clearer, brighter colours - especially for the checkbox type columns.

There was no consultation or pre-announcement about this change at all. The new purple Sheet colour is too similar to the Form magenta colour, and the icons are smaller, rounder and harder to distinguish for vision-challenged folks like me! Not one of Smartsheet's better changes, especially when there are so many other (smaller, but potentially more relevant) changes/requests that are constantly ignored.

I also did not see a mention of this other than they were "updating the total look and feel of Smartsheet." There was never a specific call-out of every single change. I think that is because there are so many things they are changing, the list would be way too long.

You can definitely provide feedback through the EAP dashboard, or make product suggestions on the proper page/tags here in community as well.
