edit values from multiple sheets in one sheet or report

I want to be able to go to a single report or sheet that has different columns from two different sheets and be able to edit the values for both sheets. I tried creating a report that combines two sheets and added the columns i want from both sheets but it's only populating values from one sheet and columns from the 2nd are blank. Is this something Smartsheet is able to do?

no filters. when i try to edit the row it's only showing values for one of the sheets and the values for the second sheet are blank

no they don't and don't want them too. I have two different sheets where each row represents a single project that appears in both sheets. one sheet is for tracking financials and the other is for project details. I had so many columns that I needed to split them into 2 different sheets but each row has a unique project ID i use in both sheets.
I was hoping I could create some kind of consolidated sheet or report that would allow me to see the columns from both sheets and edit the rows. -
