PTO Request/Approve/Track

Hi,

I was looking to see if somewhere there is a PTO tracking similar to what I am using manually.

I'm looking for an employee to be able to submit their request, it automatically goes to their manager who approves/denies (reply automatically goes back to employee), then it is automatically tracked on a sheet that each individual employee can access and I can pull a recap by department. I've seen one or two out there, but I am not that Smartsheet savvy to figure it out. I'd like it to look something like this:

And have the recap be able to show the # of vacation/personal/floating days an employee is entitled to and a running total of remaining days. Also be able to track Sick, LOA, Half days.

Someone in our office created one several years ago in Smartsheet, but it was so labor intensive just to add a person so it hasn't been updated and I am looking for something new and easier.

Smartsheet has a "Team PTO & Absence Management" template. You may need to do a little customizing, but better than starting from scratch. @Michelle Cullen - How do you link or add the Team PTO & Absence Management to an existing Dashboard? Or do you link the Dashboard to it?

Hello @docadams!

There are several ways to display data on your dashboard or quickly access sheets and reports from it. Here are a few options:

-Add a Shortcut widget to your existing dashboard for quick and easy navigation to your sheets and reports.

-Use the Report widget to add a view of the reports (from the template) to your existing dashboard.

-Add the sheets and reports to your existing dashboard as interactive content using the Web Content widget.
