Prevent Smartsheet Sheet Name Changes from Affecting Resource Management Project Name

Hello,

I’d like to propose an enhancement to improve the integration between Smartsheet and Resource Management.

Currently, when a sheet connected to Resource Management in Smartsheet has its title changed, the project name in Resource Management is also automatically updated to match the new sheet name. While this may be useful in some cases, it often creates issues for teams who rely on consistent project names in Resource Management for reporting, tracking, or communication purposes.

Proposed Solution:
Introduce an option to decouple the Smartsheet sheet title from the Resource Management project name. This could be implemented as a toggle or setting in the integration configuration, allowing users to:

  1. Maintain independent names for sheets and projects.
  2. Choose whether or not changes to the sheet title should reflect in Resource Management.

Benefits of This Enhancement:

  • Improved flexibility for managing sheet and project naming conventions.
  • Reduced confusion and errors in Resource Management due to unintended name changes.
  • Enhanced control for users over how data is synchronized across Smartsheet and Resource Management.

This feature would greatly enhance usability and help teams avoid disruptions caused by inadvertent name changes.
