Formula: Remaining Work based on Any given Date

Does anyone have a formula that will calculate the following:

Reaming = 194

Deadline = Sept 29

X = How many do i need to complete per day in order to make the deadline.

Note: X should change based on today's date

Here is how I solved this one: the formula under Comp / Day is "=Remaining1 / (Deadline1 - TODAY())"

Remaining11 is 194

Deadline1 is 09/29/17

My formula: =Remaining11 / (Deadline1 - TODAY())

My result were 13,8571, which I know is not correct.

Disregard User Error. However, how do I exclude weekends and just calculate M-F?

To answer your question in the simplest way, I have done the following (as shown in the screen shot below):

Insert a column to calculate the work days between today and the deadline, using this formula: =NETWORKDAYS(TODAY(), Deadline1)
Revise the Comp / Day formula as follows: =Remaining1 / [Work Days]1
