LEN() command in an Intake Form

Am I able to show a field on my Intake Form based on a column length. I have the following working on the sheet column =IF(LEN([Short Description]@row) > 15, "Too many characters", "") but I would like another field to show if the Short Description has a length greater than 15. I have a field called Validation Check that I plan to place a default value.

If you can use the Smartsheet for Google Forms add-on, you can use the form's validation.

Sample Validation

With the add-on, you can sync the input data to Smartsheet.

Thank you jmyzk_cloudsmart_jp for you great response. I guess I was hoping there was something built into smartsheets that I was overlooking. This is not critical for our needs, I was just hopping :)
