Multi-License Requirement

Has anyone else run into the new requirement in Smartsheet to have anyone you have built a Smartsheet to have a paid account under your license? Smartsheet wants $9,000+ for the users I have built sheets for or assisted on. This is insane. This will be the end of me recommending Smartsheet as a solution for clients.

Hi @Ross Novotny,

Those are the new rules for User Subscription Model - if you share your sheets with anyone you have 90 days to downgrade their access to Viewer (if they are in your organization) or Guest (if they are not from your organization - Guests can still edit sheets) otherwise you will be obligated to pay license for them.

@kowal Thanks for the clarification. Smartsheet support team wasn't able to lay that out as simply. This seems like a move implemented based on Blackstone's acquisition of Smartsheet.
