Sharing data with prospects

Hi

I want to share a specific row (from my product-sheet) with some individuals who might be interested in buying that product.

Ideally, when I share that row link with people, they should be able to see only that row's data, and that too without requiring to sign in to Smartsheet. In other words, the shared link should work like a webpage link that does not require any sign in to view.

Can I accomplish this? If so, then please guide!

Thanks

    hi @zealvert,

to share only one row there are many options: creating filter, creating report or going into Dynamic View.

However if you want to share without someone signing in to Smartsheet I would recommend to create a sheet, add a column with checkbox - create a report based on that one sheet and filter criteria would be to show only the row that you checked. You need to publish now this report with the option "available to anyone with the link".

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks a ton @kowal !

    It worked!

However, now the only issue is that upon clicking the row in the report, it's not automatically switching to mobile view (if opened in a mobile device). Further, even if you tap and open it in a mobile device, it's not showing the image that I had pasted in a field, nor is it showing the image that I had attached to this row!

So simply put, it's kind of forcing the user to first tap the row, then locate the image attachment pin icon, then tap it to see the image, and then again go back to see the data!

I wish it would configure it such that it would adapt the view as per the device, and would not hide the image that I had pasted in one of the fields.

    hi @zealvert,

I did not know that reports are forcing that weird behaviour.

In that case maybe consider copying a row to a different sheet and publish the destination sheet available to everyone with the link? would that work ?

I finally did it! My process is functional.

And all the credit goes to you, as you only showed me the "first" way out!
