Cell Links from Intake Sheet to Profile Sheet

edited 02/27/25 in Add Ons and Integrations

Hello all!
I am a relatively new SS Admin and would like some assistance understanding the Profile Sheet - Intake Sheet Relationship.

I just added new data items to the Profile Sheet via the Global Updates in Control Center. However, in the new partitioned blueprints, there is no incoming (blue arrow) cell link from the Intake sheet. When the profile sheet is partitioned and created, other data has an inbound cell link from the Intake Sheet so when the data changes on the intake sheet, it also changes on the profile sheet.

When I look at the admin template for the blueprint, the profile sheet does NOT have any cell links (blue arrows) set up, so I assume that these are set up by SCC when the blueprint is partitioned. SO my question is, why is my new data set NOT creating a cell link from the intake sheet for ongoing changes and only populating the data one time.

Also for partitioned blueprints (before the data was added) is there an easy way/best practice to set up this cell link without manually going into each project (we have about 315 partitioned)

Hopefully all that makes sense. TYIA for the help!

    hi @BGrimes,

I assume by profile sheet you mean the meta data sheet?

so how it works in the control center:

In Intake Sheet you have columns: Test_1, Test_2, Test_3 etc.

In the profile Sheet you in the first column/row you write: Summary

and you inbound 3 rows which are having exactly same names so

    Summary

    -Test_1

    -Test_2

    -Test_3

whatever data you will have in the intake sheet under the Test_1 etc. will be copied to the 2nd column for after the column with Summary… of course you need to setup the SCC correctly for that.

    hope it helps.
