I’d love to improve my public speaking and storytelling skills 🎤📚. Whether it’s presenting complex workflows to a team or sharing ideas with a larger audience, I want to get even better at engaging people and clearly conveying the value of my solutions 🌟✨.

One skill I’d like to improve is public speaking. Whether it's leading client presentations, internal training sessions, or project kickoffs, being able to communicate clearly and confidently makes a huge difference. I’ve realized that no matter how solid the Smartsheet solution is, how you present it can impact adoption and engagement. Improving this skill would help me deliver ideas more effectively and inspire greater buy-in from teams and stakeholders.

A skill that I have been working on for my entire career - time management. I can go down rabbit holes so fast that the time disappears before my eyes. It applies to both professional and personal.

One skill I am currently working on is communication. When I get in larger groups, I tend to "hide" and get tongue tied when talking or talk extremely fast. It's a work in progress, but slowly getting better.

The skills I continuously work on are listening and patience. Since being on this job transition journey both are in short supply as I want to move forward, and I want people to hear my story. I need to learn that listening can provide just as much as telling my story.

Note taking - in the moment my notes seem sufficient, but then when we get knee deep in a deployment, sometimes my notes aren't as clear as I want them to be

I want to go personal here because I feel like I live, think, and breathe work. The skill I would love to improve is to be better at following a crochet pattern. I tend to just make it up as I go, and I think it would be awesome to teach my kids something my great-grandma taught me.

I am currently working on utilizing the "LET THEM" Theory in various aspects of my life. It really is a powerful tool that can be life-changing! We can't control others, but we can control how we let others affect us. Love Mel Robbins and her book on this!
