Can Proofs be sent to/reviewed by individuals without a smartsheet account

I was under the impression that individuals didn't need a smartsheet account to view and approve a Proof. But when I tested it with someone w/o a smartsheet account - it prompted them to create an account.

We have a multi-layer approval process for requisitions and were hoping to obtain Department Head approval via a Proof. Due to the sensitive nature of the requisitions that are coming from multiple departments, we don't want the Dept Heads to be able to access the Sheet.

I thought in the trainings for Proof it said that Proofs could go to anyone. Did smartsheet leave out the part that the Proof Reviewer needs to have a smartsheet account?

Yes, Smartsheet account is not needed for proofing.

Depending upon how many approvals are required, you can setup automation to get approval from multiple people. Automations can send for approval to next level once previous one has approved or can inform you if anyone in the chain rejects it.
