Guest Accounts for External Users Under New USM

Hi - There's has to be companies out there that in order to better ensure security controls, require external users to utilize a Guest account when using applications such as Smartsheet. My questions under the new User Subscription Model are:

1. With a guest account using the same domain (company.com), but a sub domain (guest.company.com), can they still be considered External Users if they are not verified domains? Or will the top level verified domain override all sub domains?
2. How does this change Active Directory integration or Auto Provisioning under USM?
3. Are there any suggestions how to best manage companies who require external users to use a Guest Account?

Trang Turtletraxx we'd probably need someone from account / sales side to chime in here, but my understanding is subdomains are not treated as the same domain

ex na.bigcompany.com vs eu.bigcompany.com vs bigcompany.com are different
