How can I use Dynamic View with a form to update specific cell data

I am working on a new way to efficiently update the census numbers in my sheet without having new lines of data added. In my research it was suggested to use Dynamic view to pick the specific items out to view and update. I've been reading up on dynamic view and I am bit stumped on setting this up properly. Beyond that, I am unsure how to add a form to update the dynamic view.
Ideally I would want the view to include the assigned rooms and an ability to update the census cell in a row of said data. Assignments for users are distinguished by the Schedule column. So I would want the dynaic view of the user to only show the rows of rooms assigned to them and be able to update the census number.
I hope I explained that in a way that makes sense…

Hi,
I hope you're well and safe!
If you have a contact column showing the contact corresponding to the Schedule and then set up the Dynamic View using the Current User feature, they can only see what's assigned to them.Make sense?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic day!

I think I figured this part out. Now I am struggling with adding the dynamic view to a webapp. I am trying to use the new option to add this but it's failing and just opening a blank page and not allowing to actually select the fresh dynamic view for the webapp.

Hi @gwilkinson,
Are you listed as a contact in any rows of your Dynamic View?
Even though I'm the admin on ours, I have nothing currently for which I'm in interested party, so my DV is blank. If I go to the sheet and access DV from there, I can see everything, but going to
I see nothing, as I've got no assignment on any rows. This is the way I set it up for DV commenters who have no Smartsheet license.
Good luck

Excellent!
Do you have anything assigned to yourself that should show? Try removing the current user to see what shows.Did that work/help?

My issue was the actual creation of the workapp. when I chose the option to add a dynamic view to the webapp it just opened a blank page. I was able to get the app working by creating it the old way by adding the URL of the view to the app.

Glad you got it working!
