While I keep my desk having only the essentials (water bottle, laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, lotion), the one thing I cherish the most is hanging on the wall in front of me. Its a photo collage my wife made of me and my daughter for fathers day last year. I look at it every moment I can to put a smile on my face when work is stressful and rough.

I have several, but the 3D print dragon below is one of my favorite "fidget" tools. He was originally bought for my nephew for Christmas but ended up on my desk waiting for me to wrap him. I ended up playing with him during online meetings or trainings. He was the best Christmas gift to myself!

Wow! Yes, I am one of the few with a very cluttered desk.
The item on my desk that means a world to me is my notebook. Despite all the tech, I can't seem to let go of my notebook where i jot down all my to-dos, thoughts, reminders etc. It's something that does not only stay on my desk but accompanies me during my hustle. - Shaffi Mithwani.

Had assumed desktop as in computer desktop 🤣
Will stick to it, and mention Visual Studio Code as this has been a massive unlock for me creating much better tools than I could have ever done with just native Smartsheet alone.
Awesome to see the motivational and personal items everyone else has as well.

Choose an item on your desk, why is it important to you?
It has to be my photo collage. It reminds me, every day, how much I have to love and appreciate in my life. I look over, and there they are 💕

My favorite thing is my coffee mug warmer. I take hours to drink as I'm working and this sweet treasure keeps it hot as I sip all morning.
-
I don't have sentimental items on my desk, so I'm going to say my coffee warmer. I drink coffee all day long, so this is vital to my functioning!

Oh, to only pick one…having been at the same amazing job for over 26 years, there are many memories and encouragements I have visually.
But my top favorite is a photo with EIGHT of our grandchildren (littles, as we call them). Each one is holding the number that corresponds to their birth order. We now have FOURTEEN and need a new photo. :) -
My cup of coffee!
-
I have a little plaque that says "Oooooh….that calls for a spreadsheet" given to me from my twin sister who hates excel…
-
Can I pick one "TYPE" of item lol? My 5 monitors.
I don't know how people work from just 1 laptop screen! I pin email to one, Teams to another, Smartsheet work to the 3rd (yes SS gets its own screen 😍 ), the 4th is for all the misc URLs I have to hit during the day and the 5th is my laptop for on camera calls. Having work zones (different screens) is extremely beneficial to keeping my work moving.

I always have 1 of 3 reachable notebooks that I can quickly grab to note something down so that I don't forget it.
-
Mine is 100% my emotional support post it note pad. It's always by my side for random thought jotting, or last minute adds to the daily to do list.
The downside of having an emotional support post it not pad is that I almost always have Post It notes everywhere. 🤣 -
I tend to keep my desk pretty minimalist but I usually have a note or two from my kids. Whenever they see that I'm in a meeting they like to drop off notes.
Thanks,
Sam

I don't have much on my desk yet, but my favorite part of an empty desk is the new home I just moved into. Excited to fill my desk up with all of the memories to come.
