I've been using Smartsheet a little over 2 years. Currently my team uses it to manage projects and to report out on our portfolio to leadership. However, as I have been tasked with increasing engagement within the organization, I build out processes for invoicing, vendor management, and compliance operations. How long have you been using Smartsheet?
I’ve been actively working with Smartsheet for over 6 years, and it’s been an incredible journey watching how the platform continues to evolve.

How are you using Smartsheet?
My very first engagement with Smartsheet was in 2017. It was a really cool tool that we used exclusively at C-suite level. Fast forward 2 years, and a new company, and we're using Smartsheet as the backbone of our operational functions. I joined Prodactive as a full time Solution Architect in 2024 and have never looked back.

I get to work with clients across multiple industries to design and deliver bespoke Smartsheet solutions that solve real business challenges—whether that’s improving visibility, streamlining processes, or empowering teams with tools they actually enjoy using. It’s all about understanding where the pain points are and building something that transforms how they work. 🚀

What would you like to learn from your peers using Smartsheet?
I’d love to hear how others are navigating change management, adoption strategies, and building in governance without slowing momentum. Always curious to see how others are stretching the platform in creative ways!

How long have you been using Smartsheet? Since 2018
How are you using Smartsheet today or planning to in the future? We use it for all of our project needs and our project intake/reporting. It has also taken on a life of its own with other licensed/members finding ways to use it throughout our org. For the future, we will be monitoring member usage and having to take away access to stay within our allotted new licensing model. Finding ways to keep our blueprint relevant and working properly.
What would you like to learn from your peers using Smartsheet for Project Management Office (PMO)? How others are managing in the new subscription model, updates and changes to older control center blueprints/intake sheets, AI, etc..…..

For a project manager in a world of donuts and coffee, Smartsheet is a lifesaver for tracking and planning remodels. All the data is organized ans easily accessible for our tream, even on an Iphone. I`m always seeking ways to improve, and it would be nice to connect with a community of like-minded professionals.

I have been using Smartsheets for over 5 years. I have used it in many industries such as Automotive, Medical, Logistics, Agriculture, Marketing, Sales, HR, etc. It is my go-to tool for my positions.

What I am hoping to learn from everyone hear is not specific but anything I do not know. I do not know everything, and I LOVE seeing / hearing how others are using it. I am not the most "creative" person, so really honing my Dashboard Skills and Design would be great!

I am very new to Smartsheet; about 3 months in. So far, we've been able to transition a tracker, a project schedule, and poll our PMO about what additional resources they need after the Smartsheet training and create a dashboard for leaderships. I am currently trying to transition our capacity planning - but I still have so much to learn!

I'm hoping to be able to find answers in this community, especially if they are answered at my level! :)

I've been using Smartsheet since October '24 when I started my current job, but my initial introduction was in 2015 with a different company where I used it for about 2 years. It was helpful having the prior knowledge so the learning curve wasn't too steep but there was still plenty to (re)learn.

One of my big tasks when I started with my new company (development house/publishing) was to transition all our project schedules into a better managed environment where leadership could use reporting and dashboards to monitor project health and status. Portfolio level dashboards would then be shared with clients allowing them to check on project health outside of the weekly touch base meetings. I just completed this migration last week and all active projects are now in our new PMO environment. The leadership team was excited to see all the data displayed on one dashboard.

We're a small business and we don't have all the robust features Smartsheet has to offer so I'm always looking for ideas to share with my manager (she loves a graph). It's nice to see how others are using the product. While I feel comfortable with the basics, I do have lots of room to learn in the areas where I know my knowledge is lacking. Formulas are still a struggle for me. :-)

I've been using Smartsheet for 4 years now.

My primary role is to create Smartsheet solutions for Project, Program, and Portfolio Management. I support multiple PMOs.

I also develop trackers for our finance team to support forecasting expenses such as hiring needs throughout the current year and into the upcoming year.

I build intake, change management, new business opportunity pipeline and roadmap, and several other operations solutions.

There's no telling where my Smartsheet development will take me or what type of solution I'll be tasked with next.

I like learning new ideas and approaches from my peers. I love learning about formulas I haven't used before, or using formulas I've already used but in new ways.

I'm looking forward to what this PMO Community will come to offer and include.

Hello everyone !

My name is Florian and I am a Quality Systems Project Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
I have been in my role for about 3 years and I discovered Smartsheet 2 years ago ; I immediately loved it !
In Smartsheet, I have built a whole PMO solution for a big program, we use it to manage multiple project plans, roadmaps, risks and issues logs, and many metrics.
I used an Agile approach to develop this solution, using Smartsheet to manage requirements !
In the future I would like to use some more advanced apps, depending on the use case. In my mind, apps like Data Mesh, Dynamic View & Control Center could be of use to me. I look forward to hearing about use cases in different PMOs !

I'm Stacy. So excited to learn and engage with this community. I've been promoting Smartsheet at the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) for over 7 years now with the most recent 3.5 in the enterprise PMO where I'm the senior analyst (and PM) over all things tech, process, and governance. We've been fortunate enough to add on Calendar app, Control Center, Data Shuttle, and Resource Management and I'm positioning some views for our senior leadership this summer to compel more adoption across the organization. We use it for project/program/portfolio management, work management, and I have helped other departments implement ticketing systems (IT), financial tracking and reporting, automated workflow systems, and large repository management systems like for contracts or policies.

Would love to learn more about how others are using it for scaling portfolio management and if anyone has integrated it with a what-if analysis tool (or built their own?). Always happy to partner, learn together, or just share what didn't work to help jump-start ideas.
