External Reporting

Hello - I am trying to create an external report where I only want certain rows (such as with checkbox) but I do not want to put a filter on the report because then the external resource could then expand the data. Is this possible?

The only answer is then Workapps (when you share filtered stuff and nobody will be able to change the filter) or Dynamic View.

Hello friend! It's been awhile. Hope you are doing well also :)

I want to create a report based on a checkbox to be used externally to our organization that limits the rows they are able to see.

If I do a filter, will they be able to expand to see the rows not matching the filter results? OR is there any way they could get to the items not included in the filter?

They only need to be able to view the data.

I would suggest creating the report and then putting the report on a dashboard. You can give them viewer access to the dashboard, but they won't be able to interact with the report other than viewing.

Then you should be able to publish the Report, and then they can view the information and nothing else.

So if I give the client view only access to the report, they will not be able to modify filters and such?
