How exactly will the new user-subscription / True-Up model affect my business?

Hi

In my business I regularly give Commenter or Editor access to my customers, so they can see their business reports, etc. My customers have their own email IDs and I do not add them as members of my Smartsheet (Business) plan. Further, I may have to give access to dozens of my customers in this manner.

Now I request my fellow members to please suggest me whether my aforementioned business model is going to incur any additional licensing costs? And if so then how much $ per user? and from what date?

No, it will not add cost if your clients use an email on another domain than yours. (see below)

hi @zealvert,

If your customers will not have the same domain email address like your organization (and I am pretty sure they do not) you can always change them to Guests in 90 days and they will be able to edit the sheets without license (forever).

It's only for your colleagues if they have the same domain email address like your organization you will need to change them to Viewers and they will not be able to edit sheets unless you buy for them license.
