Domain validation to another domain than original

Hello!

Weve been using SM for many years. We have a business account with 3 seats/members. The new handling of users within the same domain really messes things up. There for i have validated our account to another domain we own to be able to assign users as external guests.
But it seems the system still sees them as internal and true-ups for payment.
What part have i missed in this domain transfer? What does SM still see as the old domain and there for not external?
Or do i need to wait for a 30 day period?

Got to get this working or were leaving SM or doing it with one user.
