Domain validation to another domain than original

Hello!
Weve been using SM for many years. We have a business account with 3 seats/members. The new handling of users within the same domain really messes things up. There for i have validated our account to another domain we own to be able to assign users as external guests.
But it seems the system still sees them as internal and true-ups for payment.
What part have i missed in this domain transfer? What does SM still see as the old domain and there for not external?
Or do i need to wait for a 30 day period?
Got to get this working or were leaving SM or doing it with one user.

I have 5 licenced users and then have bought Dynamic View as a 1 off annula cost that is cheaper than membership for all my individual "free" users. Dynamic View also has some great features allowing you to tailor and restrict what rows and columns are seen and what columns can be amended or are view only.
It has enriched our smartsheet environment a lot and also saved us about Β£78k annually
