Development Environment for Production Change Development

Hi all,
I have a solution that I've pushed out to production but now there are changes being asked for. I've duplicated my workspace as a way to build out and test changes safely. As I'm beginning to work thru solving the changes in this duplicate/dev environment I'm seeing the amount of time and potential for error it could take in manually repeating these steps in my production environment.
What is the best practice there? Is there a way to sync changes back over? I expect to have both sheet changes (new columns, new formula's) as well as automation changes. I've ruled out retiring the old workspace and pointing everyone to the new one because I already have links published in multiple places and I suspect it would cause confusion. I need a seamless change. Any thoughts?

This isn't possible in native Smartsheet without any 3rd-party add-ons. I'd recommend the fantastic add-on, which makes this possible. SS Features from the excellent Nathan. @SSFeatures@Naeem Ejaz Again, you have to check your answers from the AI you're using. It's causing unnecessary confusion.

SS Features is fantastic and has many more features, and it's very affordable, so I'd try that first.
Also, you can use the Smartsheet API.

You can export and import automation rules:
- In the dev sheet:
Go to Automation → Manage Workflows → Select a rule → Copy Rule. - In the prod sheet:
Use “Paste Rule” in Automation > Manage Workflows.
This saves a huge amount of time and avoids re-creating automations manually.
If you're concerned about making changes live:
- Schedule changes during a low-usage window.
- If possible, notify stakeholders of a short maintenance window (especially if you need to republish dashboards or adjust links).

Let's assume I don't have any 3rd party add ins (I don't). What then?
Naeem and Andree suggested a 3rd party add in. If that the only way developers can get assistance in this task I image there are several 3rd party solutions. Is SS Features the best one? I likely can only make a case for one add in.
I should mention, I have access to a very good AI Q/A tool myself. Asking here for what experienced users advise. 😊
