Date Cell linked

Hi,
When linking a date cell from a gantt to another date cell on another gantt, the date format changes and I cannot make it right - whereas my personal settings are the same, over the whole of smartsheet as well as on the independent gantts - can anybody help please?

Hi @KarineMul22_TPg,
I believe this may have something to do with the way the dates are recognised in the backend.
I found two similar threads here in the Community - take a look at these and see if the suggestions there work for you:
Alternatively, please submit a Support ticket to have the relevant team investigate the issue.
Thanks,

Thank you all - I ended up removing the "receiving" date column and re-adding it, same format, same everything, but it worked…

When you link a date cell from one sheet (like a Gantt chart) to another, the cell becomes a formula (
=[Sheet Name] Date Column
) and:- Inherits the date value but not necessarily the formatting.
- The receiving sheet's column formatting may override the expected display.
- Make sure you have the same date formatting in both the source sheet and linked sheet

I have checked the formatting and they are both the same
