I’m working on a cross-functional project where I’m building a unified, OKR-based project planning system for our Marketing team.
The goal is to standardize how multiple teams manage projects in Smartsheet, while also rolling up all activity to support high-level OKRs tied to company business goals
I’d love feedback on the best structural approach:
Question:
If there are multiple teams (Paid, Organic, Content, Marketing Ops, etc.), should:
- Each team have their own workspace and intake form, customized to their needs?
- Or should we use a shared workspace and a universal intake form/sheet with team-specific filters?
Also, if we go with multiple workspaces/forms—what’s the best way to roll up all tasks/projects into a high-level OKR dashboard with team scorecards?
Would appreciate insight from anyone who's tackled this across departments or functions.
