With the same trigger condition, the alert works but the assign people doesn’t.

Hi all,
I created an automation in Smartsheet that triggers when rows are added or changed. If I set the action to Alert someone, it works fine. But when I switch the action to Assign people, nothing happens.

I’ve already tried adjusting the workflow, but the assignment doesn’t seem to go through. The alert action under the same conditions works perfectly, so I’m not sure what’s different when it comes to assigning.

Has anyone run into this issue before? What should I check to make sure the Assign people action works properly?

Hi Andree,

Thanks for the reply. Hope you are doing well.

Nothing happened, I just successfully add it, but when new roles added or roles changed, it didn't assign any users. but they did receive the alert.
