How to include Gantt chart view in automated email?

Hello! I am building maintenance tracking Smartsheet tool for my organization. I have been able to set up and automate my sheet with all other tracking I'd like (date, duration, impacted area, etc.), but I have not been able to determine how to automate including a Gantt view in my automated email communications.

Hi @originalusername4!

At the moment it isn’t possible to include a Gantt chart directly in automated email notifications that are sent through workflows. If this is something that would be valuable for your process, I recommend submitting it as a Product Feedback & Ideas request so the product team can consider it for future updates.

As a workaround, there are two options you might try:

Share a sheet link in your email message. If you grab the link while your sheet is in Gantt view (from File > Properties), users will be routed to the sheet online and see the Gantt chart.
Send as an attachment. You can use the “Send as Attachment” option and set it on a recurring basis. If you generate the attachment while the sheet is in Gantt view, the attached PDF copy will include the Gantt chart. You can find more details here: Share sheet information in email.
