We have a 3-step process for travel approvals. I am able to get the forms to the correct people. I now have a request for the ability to add comments during the approval process.
- Staff submit request via Smartsheet form
- Automation forwards the form to the manager for approval
- Once approved, the request is automatically forwarded to the decision maker
For the approval process:
Step 2: The manager needs to answer a question before approval. There also needs to be an option for comments (there is a comments column for this purpose)
Step 3: Once approved by the manager, the request is automatically forwarded to the decision maker. The decision maker needs a spot for comments before submitting. There is a comments column for this purpose.
Is there a way to do this so the manager and decision maker do not need to go back to the sheet to make comments?
