I manage a later sheet where we will be rolling out regular Update Requests. These requests are grouped by Lead by Project. This means that when a request is triggered, some individuals may have 10+ project rows requesting an update.
The issue: When these are triggered at the same time, they become bundled into 1 request with multiple updates to be completed. Requested cannot be saved mid update, this means that Leads must complete all updates and submit them before anything is saved.
We want to avoid this user negative user experience. Any ideas? I am open to ideas even ones that are off the wall. Even if ideas require some manual admin or processing on my part. We would like for this process to continue to be facilitated via Smartsheet, but if an external application (like Excel), could be useful — I am open to anything for consideration. As long as somehow at the end of it, their update is added to the comments section of the row (even if I have to paste it in myself).
Other constraints: We would like to keep the "email spam" volume low. Users in our org already get tons of SS emails. So the fewer emails the better.
