Locked column changing to date column type

Looking for some help, I have a sheet where I have locked a column to a contact list type. When I log back in to Smartsheet at a later time, the column type is still locked, however it defaults to a date type. This is happening on another column as well which is not locked due to requesting updates from those assigned in the contact list, and the same thing is happening in this column as well. These are the only two columns this is happening to but cannot figure out why or how to get it to stay as needed.

This is an interesting issue — I see it can be caused by two potential things:

API doing updates to the column(s) or another user is on the sheet at the same time and overriding back to the previous column type.

Are either of these possibilities? Let me know.

Thanks, Stey, no one has permissions to edit so that is not the issue. I also checked the activity log and no one has made any changes. I do not believe it is an API sheet either

I have seen this happen periodically to other users here in the Community. I believe the general fix is something that only support can do. I would suggest reaching out to them.
