Starting in October, some users noted not being able to add a Smartsheet tab in Teams. While investigating, we discovered that if a user can get to the login and select a file to publish (most people got stuck buffering), the only options are to Share or Don't Share. Publish disappeared from the options. When creating a ticket, we confirmed that our Microsoft Admin Settings are correct. Support just told us, "I have confirmed that the Publish option in this integration has been removed. Currently, there is no direct option to publish to a tab; the only available options are Share and Don't Share."
My questions to the community are:
- Does this apply to all accounts or just some?
- Has anyone been notified of the deprecation of the ability to publish in Teams?
- Is this due to a technical issue or to prevent the usage of workarounds for Viewers to edit?
